About CIArb Abuja Chapter

CIArb (UK) our parent body was founded on 1st March 1915, was incorporated in 1925 as a body Ltd by Guarantee, was granted a Royal Charter in 1979 and became a Charity in 1990.

The Nigerian Branch was established in 1999 ,while the Abuja Chapter was inaugurated in 2008 under the Chairmanship of Chief Patrick I.N.Ikwueto SAN.

Since then, it has had Five (5) other Chairmen Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN, FCIArb, C.Arb, Professor Paul Obo Idornigie SAN, C.Arb, Dr Chikwendu Madumere FCIArb, CArb, Hon Sola Ephraim-Oluwanuga FCIArb,C.Arb and the present Chairperson Roseline Obiageli Nwosu (Mrs) FCIArb.

It is part of a global network community of over 18,000+ members across 40+ branches in about 150+ Countries of the World.

As part of the global CIArb community, the Abuja Chapter supports its members—from students and young practitioners to experienced Fellows—throughout every stage of their dispute resolution career journey.

Through our local initiatives and global connections, we provide opportunities for professional growth, knowledge sharing, and meaningful engagement within the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) community.
